This CVBS version of the CAM404 brake light reversing camera provides a clean, factory-style upgrade for Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Trafic vans, along with selected Nissan NV300 / Primastar and Fiat Talento models. It replaces the original upper brake light with a purpose-built housing that integrates a reversing camera while keeping an OEM-style appearance.
The camera uses our long-proven PC4089 image sensor, paired with a high-quality all-glass composite lens, producing a clear and reliable 700 TVL CVBS image with good colour and contrast. We’ve used this sensor for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard and outperforms many lower-down versions commonly found in brake light cameras. The lens angle has been carefully matched to the Vivaro/Trafic rear door layout to give a wide, usable reversing view without excessive distortion.
Key features
Direct replacement for the factory brake light – Installs in place of the original upper brake-light unit using the factory mounting points. No drilling or body modification required, and a shaped gasket is included to ensure a proper watertight seal.
Clear and reliable CVBS (NTSC) image from upgraded PC4089 sensor – Outputs a standard CVBS NTSC video signal compatible with the vast majority of aftermarket reversing camera monitors, dash displays and head units. The PC4089 sensor delivers a clear and reliable 700 TVL image with natural colours and good contrast, chosen for long-term performance.
High-quality all-glass composite lens – Uses a proper all-glass composite lens instead of plastic. This helps maintain clarity over time and avoids the UV sun-fade and softening effects often seen with cheaper alternatives.
Wide reversing angle – The 160° diagonal / 130° horizontal viewpoint provides a confidence-inspiring rear image to help avoid accidents and stressful situations.
Infrared night-vision LEDs – Built-in IR LEDs assist when reversing in low-light or night-time conditions, such as unlit yards, rural locations or dark car parks.
Selectable parking guidelines – Loop-wire selectable on/off guidelines allow you to enable or disable the overlay depending on your preference or the monitor being used.
Ready for aftermarket systems – Supplied with a standard 4-pin aviation connector, with optional 4-pin to RCA adaptors available for screens or stereos that use phono video inputs.
Optional extension cable lengths – 5 m to 15 m 4-pin extension cables are available to suit panel vans and longer wheelbase conversions.
