This CVBS version of the CAM981 brake light reversing camera is designed as a clean, factory-style solution for the Volkswagen Crafter (2017–present).
Rather than replacing the brake light itself, the camera mounts directly onto the existing OEM brake light unit, keeping the original light fully intact while adding a reversing camera.
The camera uses our long-proven PC4089 high-res image sensor paired with a high-quality all-glass composite lens, producing a clear and reliable 700 TVL CVBS image with good colour and contrast. We’ve used this sensor for many years because we know it performs reliably to a high standard and it outperforms many of the lower-down versions commonly fitted to brake light cameras.
A 160° diagonal viewing angle provides generous rear coverage to avoid any reversing accidents.

Adds a reversing camera to the existing brake light – The camera mounts directly to the original Volkswagen Crafter brake-light assembly using the supplied bracket and fixings.

160° diagonal wide viewing angle – Provides a wide, usable rear view when reversing, ideal for larger vans and long-wheelbase Crafter models.
IP68 waterproof construction – Fully sealed IP68 housing, proven to withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it and suitable for year-round outdoor use.
4-pin aviation connector – Supplied with a standard 4-pin aviation connector for use with most aftermarket CVBS monitors and extension cables.
Optional accessories – 4-pin to RCA adaptors and 10 m to 15 m extension cables are available to suit different monitor types and longer cable runs.
