Insulation tape can be used for:
- Covering an internal solder/crimp joint to avoid accidentally exposing the wires inside.
- Wrapping around non screw locking connections eg phono RCA to avoid the connectors accidentally separating.
- Cable tidying by wrapping around cables that you want to keep together (please be aware that if you ever want to take them apart afterwards there may be a sticky adhesive residue – re-usable hook and loop cable ties may be a better option if you plan to remove at some point)
