Power options:<\/b> Supplied with a standard hardwire lead. Optional lighter plug or fuse taps are available for quick installation. Fuse taps are available in standard, mini, or micro blade sizes, and include a 200 cm lead for direct connection to the monitor socket with a chassis ground terminal.<\/p>\n
Reliable 4-pin aviation cabling:<\/b> GX12 4-pin connectors ensure secure, weatherproof performance and avoid CANBUS issues. Pure copper cores maintain signal quality even on long runs. Updated 2024 twin signal cable supports HD camera signals.<\/p>\n
8 mm disconnect point:<\/b> An 8 mm disconnect point is provided approximately 30 cm back from the camera to allow smaller cable entry holes. Note: this disconnect is not waterproof and must remain inside the vehicle. Customers may request the waterproof direct-to-4-pin version instead using customer notes box in checkout.<\/p>\n
AHD Update : <\/b>Please take note of an important update for 2024. Our latest production of cameras includes a change \u2013 specifically, the driving rear-view camera in the recent batch is now being manufactured without IR LEDs. In contrast, the parking camera will continue to have IR LEDs. This modification is a response to customer feedback regarding the sensitivity of the Sony Starvis sensors used in the AHD cameras. Some customers found that the camera’s enhanced brightness, as the IR lit up nearby trees and bushes, made the image a bit bright when driving at night in a dark cabin. Following road tests, we concluded that eliminating IR LEDs from the rear-facing camera provides a better balance of functionality. When ordering the AHD upgrade kit, you may receive either the original type (with IR LEDs) or the new batch (without IR LEDs) on the rear-view camera.
