Infra Red Night Vision –<\/b>
\nIR Infra Red LEDs are built into the camera to provide night vision in low-light conditions. The infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so it will not dazzle following traffic, but allows the camera to produce a usable image in the dark. At night the image switches to black and white for improved clarity.<\/p>\n

This allows direct connection to any of our 4-pin monitors and extension cables, providing video signal and regulated power through a single secure connector.\n<\/p><\/div>\n An optional discounted 4-pin to RCA adaptor is available if you need to connect this camera to an RCA-based monitor or stereo head unit. This adaptor can be useful in two scenarios:<\/p>\n 1) Modern vehicles with CANBUS or pulsed (PWM) reverse feeds<\/u> 2) Viewing the camera when not in reverse<\/u>
\nThe camera operates on 12V power supplied via the monitor. When used with 12V\/24V monitors, the monitor automatically regulates the voltage down to 12V for the camera (as is standard with all monitors we stock).<\/p>\n

\nUsing a 4-pin extension cable with this adaptor allows the camera to be powered from an ignition feed at the front of the vehicle, rather than relying solely on the reverse light circuit. A simple reverse trigger wire can still be used so the display only activates when reverse is selected.<\/p>\n
\nIf you want to view the camera on demand (for example while driving forward or manoeuvring), the adaptor allows independent power so the image can be displayed without engaging reverse gear.\n<\/div>\n
